Kirinyaga: Man Stabs Brother to Death Over Insult

On December 15, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Mwiboni village, Gichugu Constituency, Kirinyaga County, where a 39-year-old man was stabbed to death by his brother.

The victim, Anthony Muriithi, was allegedly insulted by his elder brother, Mathew Njuki, who had come home drunk at around 2am.

According to their father, Martin Njine, Mathew Njuki accused his brother of being unable to sire children, prompting Anthony Muriithi to grab a kitchen knife and stab him to death.

Confirming the incident, Gichugu OCPD Anthony Mbogo stated that a search was underway for the suspect who fled after the incident.

The body of the deceased was moved to Kibugi Funeral Home.
