Published on December 15, 2019, the Kenya National Age Groups and Relays Swimming Championship concluded with Bandari Swim Club emerging as the overall winners.
The championship, held at Bandari Maritime Academy in Mombasa, saw Bandari Swim Club amass 1,251 points, leaving their rivals in the dust.
Bandari SC's traditional Coast rivals, Mombasa Aquatics, finished second with 1,030 points, while Otters Swim Club of Nairobi came third with 593 points.
Bandari Swim Club's dominance was evident in both the men's and women's categories, with the team garnering 713 points in the men's category and 538 points in the women's category.
One of the standout performers during the championship was Bandari's 16-year-old Kunaal Khagram, who won the boys 16 years and over 100m backstroke event in one minute 04.56 seconds.
Khagram also led his colleagues to win the mixed 16 years and over 400m medley relay event, where they clocked 4:56.85.
