On a chilly Sunday afternoon, December 15, 2019, Manchester United hosted Everton at Old Trafford in a highly anticipated Premier League match.
However, the Red Devils' unbeaten streak in the Premier League was put to the test as they struggled to break down the stubborn Everton defense.
It was a Victor Lindelof own goal in the 36th minute that handed the visitors the lead, leaving United's fans stunned.
Despite dominating the opening exchanges, United's defense was caught off guard by a well-taken corner kick that swung in, allowing Lindelof to direct the ball into his own net.
The introduction of Mason Greenwood in the 65th minute proved to be the turning point, as the youngster showed flashes of brilliance and nearly set up Dan James for the leveller four minutes later.
However, it was Greenwood who went on to score in the 77th minute, striking low through Yerry Mina's legs into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.
With neither side able to get the winner for the remainder of the clash, the two teams had to settle for the draw.
