Chelsea manager Frank Lampard acknowledged the frustration of supporters after his team's 1-0 Premier League home defeat by Bournemouth on Saturday, December 14, 2019.

The loss marked Chelsea's fourth defeat in five games, with midfielder Dan Gosling scoring the winning goal for Bournemouth, who ended their five-match losing streak.

Lampard's team had previously shown promise, but their recent performances have been disappointing, and the manager attributed this to a lack of urgency and personality on the pitch.

"In front of our fans, we're not playing well enough and getting enough results," Lampard said in a post-match interview.

Chelsea's struggles have been evident in their recent matches, including a 1-0 home defeat against West Ham United and a 3-1 loss at Everton, where they failed to impress.

"The fans shouldn't be excited if we're playing 10 balls across our back four. That's not a team I want to manage," Lampard added, emphasizing the need for his players to take the initiative and show more personality on the pitch.

Chelsea will look to bounce back from this defeat when they visit London rivals Tottenham Hotspur next Sunday, followed by matches against Southampton and Arsenal later this month.
