Published on December 15, 2019, AFC Leopards are facing a crisis as coach Casa Mbungo has given the club a 15-day notice to settle his salary arrears.

The Rwandan coach has been at the helm of the Kenyan Premier League side since replacing Serbian Marko Vasiljevic after a defeat to Bandari in Mombasa.

However, Mbungo has run out of patience with the empty promises given by the club honchos and has threatened to quit if the issue is not resolved.

According to Mbungo, he has served the club a 15-day notice beginning December 13, and if the issue is not resolved, he will leave the club.

Reached for comment, club Secretary General Oliver Sikuku confirmed the developments, stating that the club is facing a tough time financially.

‘We are supposed to look for means and ways of paying them. It is not only AFC (Leopards) but as you all know almost all clubs in Premier League are struggling financially,’ Sikuku explained.

Isuza is currently in Uganda representing Kenya with the national football team Harambee Stars in the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.
