Kenyan Police Officer's Emotional Farewell After Cancer Battle

On Saturday, family, friends, and colleagues gathered to bid a heartfelt farewell to Senior Superintendent of Police Justina Ndinda Nzivo, who passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Nzivo, who joined the Kenya National Police Service in 1982, had served for 37 years, rising through the ranks and working in various police stations across the country. At the time of her death, she was serving at the Kenya Railways station in Nairobi.

According to a statement from Deputy Inspector General of Police Edward Mbugua, Nzivo was diagnosed with diabetes in 2005 and breast cancer in 2018. Despite undergoing treatment in India, she succumbed to cancer at Mater Hospital on December 2.

Her colleagues remembered Nzivo as a dedicated and compassionate officer who was loved by her peers. 'She was really good for her young officers,' said a senior officer, Rono Bunei. 'When they went wrong, she would say,
