On Saturday evening, a tragic incident occurred on the Kapsowar-Eldoret highway, claiming the lives of two boda boda riders. According to reports, the driver of the matatu attempted to overtake a lorry but lost control, causing the vehicle to skid off the road.
The driver's reckless maneuver resulted in the matatu landing on the two riders, instantly killing them. The incident has left the community in shock and anger.
Area residents, outraged by the incident, reportedly torched the matatu. The bodies of the deceased have since been transferred to the Iten Referral Hospital for further processing.
