On a fateful Friday, a 37-year-old man from Mombasa ended his life in his rented house, leaving behind a haunting six-page suicide note.

According to the note, the deceased, who suffered from a chronic disease, felt abandoned by his family and friends, including his brother and sisters, who he accused of neglecting him in his hour of need.

He claimed that his brother, who had a well-paying job, sold their family land in Migori but refused to allocate any funds for his treatment, despite the deceased having previously helped pay his brother's rent.

The man also expressed his gratitude towards some friends, including the owner of a local restaurant, who came to his aid during his illness.

His remains were taken to the Coast Provincial General Hospital mortuary.
