On December 15, 2019, Infinix announced plans to unveil four new smartphones in the first half of 2020, marking a significant expansion of their product lineup.

According to sources, one or more of these new devices will push the company into a new market segment, possibly mid-range or even a territory dominated by flagship killers.

Currently, Infinix's most premium smartphone is the Zero 6 Pro, which is nearing its first anniversary. While the latest Infinix S5 is a notable device, comparisons between the two are subjective and open to interpretation.

Recent Geekbench listings have revealed two of the upcoming devices, codenamed Infinix X660 and X660B. These phones share similar core specs, including a MediaTek 6765 unit (Helio P35) SoC, 4GB of base RAM, and the latest Android 10 OS.

While the X660 and X660B are likely to have some differences, such as the number of cameras, the basic specs remain the same. The Geekbench listings also provide single and multi-core test scores, with the X660 scoring 184 and 1026 points, and the X660B scoring 175 and 1058 points, respectively.

For context, the Infinix S5 features a Helio P22 SoC, a weaker unit compared to the Helio P35, while the Zero 6 Pro boasts a Snapdragon 636 chipset, which is in the same category as the Helio P35.

It remains to be seen whether the Infinix X660 and X660B will be the devices that propel Infinix into new market territories in 2020.
