On December 4, 2019, Paul Topf, a German national, was deported from Kenya to Germany, sparking a series of events that led to the emergence of details about his whereabouts.
Topf's wife, Neema Nyawira, had reported him missing at Shimoni Police Station in Lunga Lunga last month, prompting investigations into the matter.
According to immigration officials, there were written orders from the Interior Ministry directing Topf to be deported to Germany for crimes he had committed there.
Quoting immigration officials, the Sunday Nation revealed that Topf was suspected of dealing in suspicious businesses in Kenya, but the Kenyan government did not find any evidence against him.
Topf had been living in Kwale for six years, engaging in cattle farming and fishing activities.
His wife, Neema Nyawira, stated that she had spoken to Topf's sister, who confirmed that he had arrived safely in Germany.
However, Nyawira expressed concern that she had yet to hear from her husband directly.
