On Saturday, December 14, 2019, celebrated Kenyan rapper Kennedy Ombina, known as King Kaka, released a new song dubbed Wajinga Nyinyi, which explicitly condemned injustices, poor leadership, and corruption.

However, a fake news website published an article claiming that some people attempted to assassinate him after his car was sprayed with 11 bullets at South B in Nairobi.

King Kaka downplayed the report, saying all he needed was prayers and protection.

Many Kenyans on social media have since rallied behind the musician for telling Kenyans the truth.

"We forgot NYS stories. They bought one pen worth KSh 20 at KSh 8,000. It is either we as Kenyans are fools or somebody has taken the marking scheme. The youths are betting with death claiming betting has given them jobs than the government," he said.
