December 15, 2019, marked a triumphant day for Ulinzi Warriors as they reclaimed the Kenya Basketball Federation men's Premier League title.
Having faced a tough challenge from Thunder, who were playing in their first-ever final, Ulinzi Warriors bounced back from a disappointing Game One loss to win the title.
With a series of impressive wins, including 123-106 and 99-51 in Games Two and Three, Ulinzi Warriors sealed their victory with a 67-63 win over Thunder in Game Four.
Ulinzi Warriors' coach, William Balozi, praised his team's resilience, saying, "I don't even know what to say because they fought hard and have done extremely well this season. Their resilience paid off in the final quarter because in a high-stake match, it's not easy to recover when you're trailing."
Thunder's coach, Sadat Gaya, acknowledged Ulinzi Warriors' superior performance, saying, "They did a better job than us, and I congratulate them for winning the title. We will take a break and after the festivities, we will plan for the 2020 season and hope to have Kevin Chogo back in the team."
