On a chilly afternoon in southwest London, Bournemouth pulled off a stunning upset against Chelsea, securing a 1-0 win and ending the London club's five-match losing streak in the Premier League on December 14, 2019.

Chelsea, who had qualified for the Champions League knockout stages just two days prior, struggled to find their footing despite enjoying over 60% possession. The team created chances for Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, and Christian Pulisic, but were unable to convert them into decisive shots.

Bournemouth's keeper, Aaron Ramsdale, made several impressive saves in each half, including one from Mount and full back Emerson, to keep his team in the game.

It was the fourth defeat in five Premier League games for Chelsea, who sit fourth in the table. The loss marked a disappointing end to the year for the London club, who had been expected to perform better.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard had hinted during the week that the club would be looking to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window, particularly in the striker position.
