King Kaka's song Wajinga Nyinyi has ignited a firestorm in Kenya, with the artist now saying he will remove the song.

Released on December 14, 2019, the song quickly gained traction online, with some leaders praising Kaka for speaking truth to power.

However, the song's lyrics, which some interpreted as a critique of Kenya's leaders, also drew criticism and backlash.

As the debate raged on, Kaka revealed that he had started receiving threats, forcing him to consider removing the song.

"I will remove the video of that song," Kaka said in a statement.
