On Friday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) seized a large quantity of contraband goods in Donholm, Nairobi.

The goods included toothpaste packs labelled LMZ and fabric conditioners in boxes labelled Morning Fresh.

According to the DCI, the seized goods belonged to TechPack Industries and were found in the S.M COKA Water Transporter yard.

One suspect, Juvenaries Nzivo, has been arrested as investigations continue.

The estimated value of the seized goods is yet to be established.

These seizures come on the heels of previous cases of contraband goods being confiscated by the police.

Just last month, police confiscated contraband cigarettes worth Ksh. 18 million in Kenyatta Market.

Earlier, a Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) official linked to uncustomed cigarettes worth Ksh. 10 million was on the run.

Additionally, three police officers were arrested in October while transporting bhang and other goods in Kitui County.
