Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards is facing a major crisis after its head coach Andre Casa Mbungo threatened to quit the club over non-payment of his salary and allowances.

According to a reliable source, Mbungo has served the club with a 15-day notice, as stipulated in Fifa laws, requesting that all his outstanding allowances be cleared within the period. If not, he will quit and sue the club.

Despite being patient with the club, Mbungo has reached a tipping point and cannot survive without pay anymore, the source revealed.

Meanwhile, AFC Leopards is scheduled to face Tusker on Sunday afternoon at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, where they will be looking to improve their ninth position in the KPL standings with 18 points from 12 matches.
