Waziri Munya's Siasa za Sugoi Blunder

Waziri wa Biashara Peter Munya has sparked controversy after using the term 'Sugoi' to refer to the home of Deputy President William Ruto, sparking a heated exchange with Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa.

According to reports, Ichung'wa had posted a picture on Twitter highlighting the struggles of dairy farmers, including the need for emergency aid to help them recover from the effects of the recent floods.

However, Munya responded by calling Ichung'wa an 'ombaomba' who relies on DP Ruto, and claimed that the 'Sugoi' politics would not help the dairy farmers.

Ichung'wa had included Munya and his colleague Eugene Wamalwa in the tweet, highlighting the need for emergency aid to help the dairy farmers recover from the effects of the floods.

"Wakulima hawa watahitaji karo ya watoto wao Januari. Wao hutegemea mazao hayo na baada ya mafuriko kutakuwa na kiangazai. Haya mazao yangesaidia," Ichung'wa had said in the tweet.

However, Munya's response was met with anger from the supporters of DP Ruto, who felt that he had used the term 'Sugoi' in a derogatory manner.

"Ichung’wah ni ombaomba wa kodi, wacha aende akatafute kodi sasa kwa Kiunjuri. Siasa za Sugoi hazitasaidia sekta ya wakulima wa maziwa," Munya had said before deleting the tweet.

Ichung'wa is a strong supporter of DP Ruto and has been vocal about the need for emergency aid to help the dairy farmers recover from the effects of the floods.
