On a typical day at the Sexology Clinic, a young couple, Tom and Joy, walked in seeking consultation. They were both 21 years old and in their third year of university.

According to the clinic's records, the couple had been living together in the same room on campus for close to a year. However, their sex life was not as vibrant as one would expect from a young couple in love.

During their consultation, Joy expressed her frustration with Tom's inability to satisfy her sexually. She claimed that they rarely had sex, and when they did, Tom's erections would fail, and he would often experience premature ejaculations.

Tom surprisingly nodded in affirmation, stating that sex was no longer exciting for him, and he had lost his urge for it. The clinic's doctor was perplexed and decided to probe further.

After examining the couple and ordering tests, the doctor was unable to pinpoint the exact cause of their problems. However, during their third visit, Joy revealed that she and Tom were both marijuana users, and they relied on the substance to cope with stress and to enhance their sex lives.

The doctor was shocked and explained to the couple that marijuana use can have severe effects on male sexual function, leading to decreased sex drive, failed erections, and premature ejaculations. He also informed them that the effects of marijuana on women are different, often resulting in increased sex drive and more satisfying orgasms.

However, the doctor emphasized that marijuana use is not a healthy or sustainable solution for enhancing sex lives. He encouraged the couple to stop using the substance and offered them relationship counseling and sex coaching to help them overcome their issues.

After six months of treatment, the couple returned to the clinic to thank the doctor for his support. They reported that they had successfully overcome their marijuana addiction and were now able to enjoy a healthy and satisfying sex life.
