Published on December 14, 2019, a video of Khaligraph Jones went viral after he stopped performing abruptly and started lecturing a DJ at an event at the University of Nairobi.
The rapper, known for his hit song 'Mazishi,' was seen in the video reprimanding the DJ for allegedly playing irritating sounds and scratching his name tag repeatedly.
'DJ...DJ...ntakuchapa wewe, unafanya nini? Staki mchezo hapo wewe...ebu anzisha hiyo ngoma tena, na ukiharibu tunakuchapa sai vibaya sana...,' he roared.
However, the incident did not go unnoticed, and DJ Lyta responded by telling Khaligraph to hire his own DJ. 'OG by Now you should have your own Dj,' Lyta wrote.
The exchange sparked a heated debate among Kenyans, with some defending Khaligraph's actions and others criticizing him for being unprofessional.
