Published on December 14, 2019, MMUST RFC is looking to bounce back to winning ways against Northern Suburbs in Karen today.
After losing at home to KRU Championship leaders Strathmore Leos, MMUST captain Samuel Mbeche expressed his team's eagerness to return to winning ways and catch up with Leos.
'It was disappointing to lose at home after a fine start to the season, but we are ready to put the loss behind us. We took it as a lesson, and the squad cannot wait to win again,' Mbeche said.
Strathmore Leos, meanwhile, will be out to extend their lead when they host Kisii RFC at Madaraka Grounds. The Leos, relegated from last season's Kenya Cup after 11 years, have won all their seven matches and are keen to maintain their good form.
'The win in Kakamega was a real test for us, and the boys will be very much aggressive against Kisii for our goal is to finish top of the table,' Strathmore captain Gabriel Adero said.
Leos are currently eight points clear of second-placed MMUST with 33 points and a win over Kisii will see them go for the Christmas break unbeaten.
