KNRC Title Race Goes Down to Wire ¶
Heavy rains and flash floods in the Stony Athi region made it impossible for the Sikh Union Nairobi to run the KCB Guru Nanak Rally, which was scheduled for December 15, 2019.
As a result, the Kenya Motor Sports Federation (KMSF) announced that the 2019 KCB Bank KNRC would count as a seven-round championship instead of eight.
With an unassailable 162 points, Baldev Singh Chager becomes the new KNRC champion, surpassing Carl 'Flash' Tundo's 142 points.
Chager was hoping to finish in the top 10 on Guru Nanak to recapture the coveted title but not until the force majeure was called.
Other champions include Issa Amwari (Division Two), Ammar Haq (Division One), Daren Miranda (Two Wheel Drive), and Jasmeet Chana (Group N).
The 2020 calendar is already published with the first KNRC championship scheduled for February 22-23, 2020.
According to Article 16.3 of Appendix A of the regulations, the KMSF secretariat will compile final KNRC championships' standings based on seven rounds to declare the championship winners.
