Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has signed a new deal with the club that will run until 2024, extending his contract beyond the initial six-year term signed in 2016.
Klopp, who joined the Reds in October 2015, has led the team to significant success, including winning the Champions League last season and finishing second in the Premier League.
Under his leadership, Liverpool has made a strong start to the current season, leading the top flight with an eight-point lead over second-placed Leicester City and a 14-point advantage over Manchester City.
Speaking about his decision to extend his contract, Klopp expressed his commitment to the club, stating, "This club is in such a good place, I couldn’t contemplate leaving."
He added, "For me personally this is a statement of intent, one which is built on my knowledge of what we as a partnership have achieved so far and what is still there for us to achieve."
With his new contract, Klopp will remain at the helm of Liverpool until 2024, as the team continues to push for a first league title since 1990.
