Bandari, still reeling from a 1-0 mid-week defeat to Kakamega Homeboyz in the Kenya Premier League (KPL), will look to regain their footing against Kisumu All Stars at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu on Saturday.
"We know we're going to face stiff opposition from Kisumu All Stars, but we'll be fighting to collect maximum points," said Bandari team manager Wilson Oburu.
Despite the challenge ahead, Bandari head coach Bernard Mwalala has a relatively healthy squad, with team captain Felly Mulumba and Fred Nkata having recovered from injuries. However, the team will miss the services of attacking midfielder Abdalla Hassan, who is currently with the national team in Uganda for the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.
"We have no problem missing Abdalla as those playing his position have been doing well. When Abdalla plays or in his absence, we get positive or negative results. All the players are important in our team," Oburu noted.
Bandari secured their first win in eight matches last week, defeating Wazito 4-1 at Mbaraki Sports Club. They currently sit 12th on the KPL log with 12 points.
Meanwhile, Kisumu All Stars coach Henry Omino is confident that his team will redeem itself on Saturday, seeking to move away from the relegation zone. The team is currently in position 16 on the KPL log with eight points, having won two, drawn two, and lost eight matches so far.
"We have lost three consecutive matches and that is a worrying trend. We had moved away from the relegation zone, but our previous match results might send us back to that zone so this match is a must win for us," noted coach Omino.
