On a thrilling night at Nyayo Gymnasium, Ulinzi Warriors levelled the KBF basketball finals series against Nairobi City Thunder with a 123-106 win in Game Two on December 12, 2019.
After a narrow 75-73 loss in Game One, the soldiers bounced back in style, forcing the game into double overtime before emerging victorious.
Thunder had taken the lead in the first overtime, but Ulinzi Warriors were unstoppable in the second, sinking 21 points against Thunder's four to seal the win.
Warriors coach William Balozi praised his team's resilience, saying, 'It was a must-win game for us, that's why we had to give our all to salvage the series.'
With the series now tied at 1-1, the stage is set for an exciting Game Three, which will take place on December 14, 2019.
