On December 12, 2019, AFC Leopards and KCB played to a 0-0 draw in a mid-week Kenyan Premier League match at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru. The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating scoring chances.
For AFC Leopards, strikers Vincent Oburu and Hansel Ochieng had a forgettable outing, failing to capitalize on numerous scoring opportunities. In the first half, KCB's Enock Agwanda unleashed a powerful volley that bounced off the goalpost, while Oburu drilled a thunderous shot that missed the target.
Despite KCB's early pressure, AFC Leopards' defenders, including Dennis Odhiambo, Badi Baraka, Bethwell Warambo, and Mike Kibwage, held firm in the second half. The Leopards' strikers, including Oburu, Ochieng, and Austin Otieno, went on a hunting escapade, but the KCB defenders were hardly moved.
Both coaches, KCB's Geoffrey Oduor and AFC Leopards' Cassar Mbungo, made changes to their lineups, but the final result was a draw. Mbungo commended his players for snatching a point against the marauding bankers, saying, 'Our defenders did a superb job by frustrating the efforts of KCB strikers. They (KCB) never made any serious attempts at our goal.'
