President Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to intervene in the cash crisis affecting at least 35 counties that have not received their November and December revenue allocation.
Lugari MP Ayub Savula made the plea while addressing mourners in Malava Sub-county on December 12, 2019.
According to Savula, the cash crisis could take a toll on ongoing development projects and discourage workers who have been compelled to work without pay for two months.
He suggested that the president summon county chiefs to a summit to discuss the cash crunch issue.
Malava MP Malulu Injendi echoed Savula's sentiments, emphasizing the need for the president's intervention.
