December 13, 2019, will forever be etched in the memory of Monica, a resident of Dagoretti, Nairobi, as the day she discovered her husband's infidelity.
Monica's husband, a successful wholesale businessman, had been carrying on an affair with a fishmonger named Mama Amina, who ran a thriving fish stall in Dagoretti Corner.
It all started when a neighbor hinted to Monica that Mama Amina had been seen with her husband, but she dismissed the allegations as baseless. However, when she discovered her husband's car containing Mama Amina's sweater, she knew she had to take action.
Monica confronted Mama Amina, who denied any wrongdoing, but the fishmonger's response only fueled Monica's anger. 'Mwanamme hana mwenyewe wewe ni mshamba aje ukipata wangu pia pita na yeye?' (You are a man, why are you looking for me when you have your own wife?) Mama Amina retorted.
Heartbroken and determined to put an end to the affair, Monica sought the help of Mugwenu Traditional Doctor, who claimed to have spell-casting powers that worked within 24 hours.
With Mugwenu's guidance, Monica cast a spell on Mama Amina and her husband, causing them to suffer from a mysterious condition that left them with 'private parts on their face.' The residents of Dagoretti Corner were left in stitches, laughing at the sight of the afflicted couple.
Monica's husband eventually agreed to pay her Sh. 350,000 to be healed, and Mama Amina followed suit. The affair was finally over, and Monica's marriage was saved.
