Published on December 12, 2019, Nairobi News reported that opposition leader Kalonzo Musyoka had dismissed claims of working with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the 2022 general elections.
According to Musyoka, the claims were 'speculations' and a desperate attempt to drive a wedge between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He also clarified that remarks made by his close associates should not be attributed to him, and that he was not in talks with Ruto.
Johnson Muthama, a close ally of Musyoka, had previously claimed that Musyoka had switched political alliance from Raila Odinga to DP Ruto, and was ready to spearhead coalition talks between Ruto and Musyoka.
