On Thursday, December 12, 2019, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) suspended the operating license of Modern Coast Bus Express Limited, leaving hundreds of commuters stranded.

The suspension came after a fatal accident involving two of the company's buses, which resulted in the deaths of seven people and injured over 60.

Despite the suspension, the company's booking site remained live, allowing travelers to make bookings.

Online travelers expressed their frustration over the unexpected disruption of their travel plans, citing reckless driving and poor customer service as some of the issues with the company.

Modern Coast Bus Express Limited has apologized for the inconvenience caused and promised to refund the money of those who had booked with them.

However, the company's statement has been met with skepticism, with some travelers questioning the company's commitment to road safety regulations.
