On December 17th to December 19th, 2019, the 6th edition of the Kenya Diaspora Homecoming Convention (KDHC) will take place at the Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi, bringing together Kenyans living abroad.

Among the top leaders attending the summit are Raila Odinga, the African Union High Representative for Infrastructure Development, and UN Resident Coordinator Siddharth Chatterjee. Other keynote speakers include Danish Ambassador to Kenya Mette Knudsen and Jerome Otieno, Group MD Life, UAP Old Mutual East Africa.

The conference, themed 'Diaspora: The Big Four Agenda', will focus on the government's Big Four Agenda, which aims to achieve affordable housing, food security, manufacturing, and universal healthcare. The summit will also discuss the recently launched Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report, which addresses diaspora concerns, including the dual citizenship clause in the Constitution.

According to Kenya Diaspora Alliance (KDA) President Shem Ochuodho, the BBI report proposes to do away with restrictions on dual citizens holding public offices and to find ways to incentivize diaspora investment at home.
