On Wednesday night, a devastating collision between two Modern Coast buses occurred near Kiongwani area on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway, claiming seven lives and injuring 62 others.
The incident comes on the heels of a similar accident in the same area just a day prior, involving a Modern Coast bus and another from Tahmeed.
Just last month, a Modern Coast bus accident on the Kericho –Nakuru highway resulted in the death of one person after the bus hit a bump and rolled several times before landing in a ditch.
Earlier this year, eight people lost their lives in Bungoma after a Modern Coast bus collided with the matatu they were traveling in.
And in a bizarre incident in October last year, a Modern Coast bus burst into flames in Samburu, Kwale County, with no passengers injured.
