On a mission to spread Christmas cheer, Selena Gomez quietly visited Kenya in December 2019. The trip was organized by the WE Movement, an organization she has supported for over six years.

During her week-long visit, Gomez and her friend Raquelle Stevens stopped by the renowned Sheldrick Trust, a sanctuary for orphaned elephants. The duo also spent time with students at a local girl's school.

According to Raquelle Stevens, who shared an update on social media, the trip was a life-changing experience. 'I spent the week in Kenya with @selenagomez & the most amazing team @wemovement. I will forever remember the beautiful people we met. I learned so much and was reminded that no matter where I am, whether at home or anywhere in the world, the greatest gift in life is being able to connect with people.'

Gomez has been open about her struggles with lupus, which has left her emotionally overwhelmed. Her trip to Kenya was a therapeutic escape, allowing her to focus on the positive aspects of her life.

Although we didn't get to meet Gomez, we appreciate her dedication to supporting girls in Kenya through her work with the WE Movement.
