Nairobi has emerged as the best African city to work in, according to the Expat City Ranking 2019.
Conducted by InterNations, the largest community for expatriates, the survey polled over 20,000 respondents in 82 cities worldwide.
Respondents praised Nairobi's friendly residents, with 82% describing them as welcoming, and its pleasant climate, with 91% rating it positively.
InterNations noted that Nairobi was ranked third worldwide for being easy to settle in, behind Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Manama in Bahrain.
Compared to other African cities, Nairobi outperformed Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Lagos, ranking 45th globally, 59th, 65th, and 79th respectively.
Notably, Nairobi improved its ranking by two places from last year's survey, where it ranked 47th out of 72 cities.
