On Wednesday, Western Stima handed Zoo a 4-1 defeat in a Kenyan Premier League match at Moi Stadium in Kisumu. The match took place on December 11, 2019.

Benson Ochieng, a Form Three student at Kisumu Day, was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick in the 19th, 29th, and 47th minutes. Salim Hamisi added to the hosts' lead in the 88th minute.

Stima coach Salim Babu praised Ochieng's performance, saying, "We played with a lot of passion and commitment today and that's why we won comfortably. Going forward Ochieng will be a starter since he has had a big impact coming in as a substitute. I'm looking forward to such performances in subsequent matches."

Zoo assistant coach Leonard Mata attributed their loss to lack of concentration from his players, saying, "We hope to redeem ourselves in our next match against Ulinzi."

The win lifted Stima to fourth place with 24 points from 13 matches, while Zoo were ranked 11th with 13 points from 12 matches.
