On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, Kenya's Junior Starlets played Eritrea in a Cecafa Under-17 Women's Challenge Cup match at the Njeru Technical Centre in Jinja.
Kenya's Junior Starlets were on the verge of progressing to the semi-finals of the tournament after the draw.
The team had earlier on Monday, December 9, 2019, hammered Djibouti 14-0 in their opening match, with Viola Khalai scoring five times and Fasila Adhiambo and Anna Arusi each scoring five and three goals respectively.
Kenya's next match will be against Tanzania on Friday, December 13, 2019.
Other selected results from the tournament included hosts Uganda beating Burundi 5-0, Djibouti and Tanzania hammering Eritrea 5-0 and then drawing 3-3 with Burundi.
The Cecafa Under-17 Women's Challenge Cup is funded by world football governing body, Fifa.
