Murkomen Embarrassed in Court After Jaji Gives Him a Lesson in Law ¶
On December 11, 2019, Seneta Kipchumba Murkomen found himself in an awkward situation in court after Jaji Douglas Ogoti gave him a lesson in law.
According to reports, Murkomen had taken Governor Mike Sonko to court, but he was not aware of the court's procedures. The court was forced to adjourn after Jaji Ogoti gave Murkomen a lesson in law.
"Murkomen, you know why I'm smiling?" Jaji Ogoti asked Murkomen. "It's because you're doing the work of a court lawyer. There's a directive from the Machakos court that a suspect should come to court alone. Find that directive, it might help you one day when you decide to start practicing law," Jaji Ogoti said.
Earlier, Murkomen had claimed that they had done everything possible to ensure that Sonko followed the court's orders. However, Jaji Ogoti was not convinced and gave Murkomen a stern warning.
"This means that the absence of the accused does not mean that you cannot give him a fair trial. Therefore, your summons was not valid. You cannot summon a patient from the hospital. I will still make a ruling on the case," Jaji Ogoti said.
The court's adjournment left Murkomen embarrassed, and he was left to ponder on his mistakes.
