Kenyan musician Eric Wainaina has returned to the music scene with a new song that pulls no punches, targeting embattled Nairobi Governor Sonko and other politicians' ills.

Published on December 10, 2019, the song Nchi ya Kitu Kidogo features Wainaina playing the piano and urging politicians from the ruling party Jubilee to clean up Kenyan jails and make them conducive.

He also criticized Sonko for slapping an officer while resisting arrest on November 6, 2019, over corruption charges, emphasizing that it was only fair for the governor to serve his term in jail and pay for the crimes he had committed.

The song has sparked a reaction from Sonko's supporters, who feel it has skewered them and everything at some point or another.
