On December 11, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Bomet, Kenya, where a 29-year-old man lost his life in a shocking turn of events.

A Form Two student had visited a market center where the man worked as a shoe shiner. The student was reportedly provoked by the man's demand for a romantic affair.

According to the police report, an argument ensued, and the student left in anger. However, she returned a few minutes later, armed with a knife that she had allegedly purchased from a nearby shop.

The student then used the knife to stab the unsuspecting man in the upper part of his neck, resulting in his instant death.

The man's body was moved to the Kapkatet mortuary, while the Form Two student was taken into custody at the Mogogosiek Police Station.

Police boss Alex Shikondi confirmed the incident, stating that the student's actions were a direct result of the man's demand for a love affair.
