President Kenyatta Holds Talks with Regional Leaders

On the sidelines of the 9th ACP summit, President Uhuru Kenyatta held separate talks with regional leaders, marking a significant milestone in Kenya's chairmanship of the 79-member multilateral grouping.

President Kenyatta met with President Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Holness at State House, Nairobi, where they explored opportunities for deepening bilateral relations.

At the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, the President expressed Kenya's gratitude to the Cuban government for their collaboration in the health sector, citing the benefits of specialised services offered by Cuban doctors in the counties.

President Kenyatta assured Vice President Chapman that Kenya would look at the concerns and needs of ACP member countries to ensure the collective prosperity of the region.

Foreign Affairs CS Monica Juma and Health CS Sicily Kariuki attended the meeting with Vice President Chapman, who thanked President Kenyatta for hosting a successful summit and expressed optimism about the future of ACP collaborations.
