Manchester United's recent resurgence has sparked renewed confidence in manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the Glazer family reportedly ready to back him in the transfer market.

According to the Daily Mail, the Glazer family have maintained that they have confidence in Solskjaer's rebuild and his job is not under threat.

The publication reports that Solskjaer will be backed in a bid to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, while United are confident of signing Red Bull Salzburg hitman Erling Braut Haaland.

Saul's deal with Atletico keeps him at the club until 2026, but the midfielder is reported to have a release clause of £135m.

Haaland, on the other hand, has a release clause of just £17m, but the 19-year-old Norwegian has been in record-breaking scoring form in the Champions League.

Speaking to Norwegian channel TV2, Solskjaer expressed his confidence in landing his targets, saying: "This week might cause people to talk a bit less, and for me it's always more fun to talk about things other than critique or speculations."

However, the Mail reports that deals for Saul and Haaland are more likely to happen during the summer.
