Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is eyeing a reunion with his former player Marouane Fellaini in the January transfer window.
Fellaini, 32, is currently playing for Chinese side Shandong Luneng after being released by Manchester United earlier this year.
According to reports, Mourinho wants to bring Fellaini back to the Premier League, where they had a close relationship during their time at Manchester United.
Fellaini has impressed in China, scoring 12 goals in 32 games and helping his side reach the Chinese FA Cup final.
With Spurs' starting 11 often featuring young, inexperienced players, Mourinho is thought to be keen to add some senior members to his squad.
However, chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly reluctant to spend big in the January transfer window, with significant repayments needed on Spurs' new stadium.
It remains to be seen whether Shandong Luneng demands a high transfer fee for Fellaini, but a move would be an interesting one to watch given Mourinho and Fellaini's close relationship.
