On Monday, a tragic incident occurred at Sinderma, Gem sub-county, where a 15-year-old Form Two student was found stabbed to death in a bush.

The incident has left the community in shock, with many questioning the motives behind the heinous crime.

According to area chief Barrack Olo, the suspect, identified as Fredrick Onyango Akula, had lured the girl to the bush and stabbed her several times.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Chief Olo revealed that the suspect left behind a note next to the body, in which he allegedly professed his love for the deceased.

The note, which has been cited as a possible motive for the crime, has sparked widespread outrage and concern among the community.

It has been alleged that the suspect had just been released from Siaya G.K Prison a few days ago, after being arrested and charged with defiling the same girl.

Police are currently on the hunt for the suspect, who is still at large.

The body of the Form Two student has been moved to Yala Sub-county hospital mortuary, awaiting postmortem.
