On December 10, 2019, a devastating attack shook the eastern Czech city of Ostrava, leaving a trail of death and destruction in its wake.
A gunman, whose identity remains unknown, opened fire in a hospital waiting room, killing at least six people and seriously injuring two others at close range.
The attack occurred around 7 a.m. at the University Hospital in Ostrava, approximately 220 miles east of Prague.
As the authorities scrambled to respond to the crisis, a photograph of the assailant was released, but the motivation behind the attack remains unclear.
