On a joyous Sunday, Boniface Muchangi, 27, and Christine Wawira, 26, proved that love knows no disability as they tied the knot in a beautiful deaf wedding ceremony at the Good News Seventh Day Adventist Church in Majengo.
After meeting three years ago at a church function, the couple's love blossomed through text messages, and they eventually decided to make their union official, inspiring other deaf persons to believe in love.
The ceremony, presided over by a pastor with hearing impairment, was a unique and romantic affair that attracted a huge crowd, who followed proceedings with the help of an interpreter as the couple exchanged vows using sign language.
Representative Festus Murithi expressed the church's delight at the couple's decision to get married, while Boniface and Christine thanked the church and well-wishers for their support through an interpreter.
Church elder Gerald Odhiambo urged Kenyans to help people with disabilities pursue their dreams and love, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and support.
