Published on December 10, 2019, Arsenal's Mesut Ozil has expressed delight after the team's thrilling comeback win over West Ham United, but emphasized that there is still much work to be done.
Despite being frozen out of the starting XI under former manager Unai Emery, Ozil has found his way back into the team and played the last six Premier League games for Arsenal.
The Gunners came from a goal down to defeat London neighbours West Ham United 3-1, with Gabriel Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring in the second half to cancel out Angelo Ogbonna's earlier strike.
Freddie Ljungberg earned his first three points as Arsenal manager, moving the team to ninth on the Premier League standings.
Ozil took to Twitter to express his delight at the win, saying, "Finally a reason to smile again... a little bit! That winning feeling is back. How I've missed you!! But of course we all know that there's still a lot of work in front of us."
With the win, Arsenal has ended their nine-match winless streak, but Ozil emphasized that there is still much work to be done to ease the pressure from fans.
