Freddie Ljungberg's Arsenal team ended their 10-game winless streak with a thrilling 3-1 victory over West Ham on December 9, 2019, at the London Stadium.
The Gunners' caretaker manager made five changes to the starting lineup, including the inclusion of Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli, who both made significant contributions to the win.
Pepe scored his first Premier League goal from open play in 24 minutes, curling the ball into the top corner, and then provided an assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's 13th goal of the season.
"It means so much for the players. They have been living under enormous pressure and you see it in their performances," Ljungberg said.
"You can see the players have been a bit low and you see in the dressing room the relief and how happy they are," he added.
West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini, who is under increasing pressure, was disappointed with his team's performance, saying, "I think we dominated the game for 60 minutes and after that in 10 minutes we lose the game."
The win lifts Arsenal up to ninth in the Premier League table and cuts the gap on fourth-placed Chelsea to seven points in the battle for Champions League qualification next season.
