Published on December 9, 2019, Tanzanian singer Rosa Ree's music ban has been lifted by the Tanzania Music Regulatory Board, also known as Basata.

According to a letter posted by Rosa Ree on Instagram, the board has reduced her six-month ban to a fine of Tsh 2,000,000, which she must pay within one month.

Rosa Ree expressed gratitude to the board and Tanzania's Minister of Arts, Information, Culture, and Sports, Mr. Harrison Mwakyembe, pledging to fly Tanzania's flag high.

The ban was imposed on Rosa Ree and her Kenyan partner Timmy Dat after their song 'Vitamin U' contained nude scenes.

However, the couple later pulled the video, edited it, and uploaded a cleaner version.
