On December 9, 2019, RaySecur, a mailroom security startup, secured $3 million in seed funding to expand its customer base.

The investors who participated in the funding include One Way Ventures, Junson Capital, Launchpad Venture Group, and Dreamit Ventures.

According to RaySecur, the funding will be used to expand its customer base, which currently boasts of about ten Fortune 500 customers.

RaySecur uses millimeter-wave technology to examine suspicious letters, flat envelopes, and small parcels, and its technology can detect powders as small as 2% of a teaspoon or a single drop of liquid.

The company also uses 3D real-time scanning technology, dubbed MailSecur, to intercept and detect threats in the mailroom.
