On Sunday, December 8, 2019, a disturbing incident unfolded in Ndhiwa town, where a 25-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly defiling a 17-year-old student.

According to residents, the woman, a cashier at a local pub, lured the Form Three boy with money in exchange for sex, a claim that has left the community reeling.

The boy's father had been searching for him since Saturday, after a private tutor hired to teach the boy and his sister informed him of the boy's absence from their sessions.

It was later discovered that the boy would often leave home, pretending to go to the tutor's place, but would instead divert to the woman's residence.

After inquiring, the father learned that his son was with the woman, and he promptly reported the matter to the police.

Two officers accompanied the father to the woman's place, where they found the boy in her bed. The woman was immediately arrested and taken to Ndhiwa Police Station.

Ndhiwa police boss Evans Ombui confirmed that investigations revealed the woman had indeed defiled the boy, and she was due to be arraigned in court on Monday.
