On December 8, 2019, KCB RFC coach Dennis 'Iron man' Mwanja reflected on their recent win over Mwamba, saying they are focusing on one match at a time.
The team had suffered their first loss of the season against Kabras Sugar two weeks prior, but bounced back with a 29-17 victory at the Railways Club.
'It was a tough match which made us enter a little bit jittery considering losing our last match against Kabras Sugar and KCB being a team which is not used to losing we had to rediscover our winning ways,' Mwanja said.
He added that they found their footing and settled into the game, contributing to their victory.
With 30 points, KCB RFC sits second in the overall Kenya Cup standings, four points behind leaders Kabras Sugar after match round seven.
According to Mwanja, they are not looking to finish in a playoff position, but rather focusing on each match individually.
'For us, we're just starting the season easy and after the Christmas holiday we'll get back to business and hope to get our rhythm going,' Mwanja said.
They face Impala club this weekend at KCB Sports Club.
